Impact Space HOLDS SUCCESSFUL EAST AFRICA DRIVE

Washington, DC (Sep 01, 2021) – Impact Space Inc. is pleased to announce the successful completion of the much-anticipated East Africa Care Drive.

The Care Drive took place during the last week of August 2021. It was coordinated by Impact Space leaders and volunteers across communities in Kenya and Uganda and benefited over one hundred households in 3 towns in East Africa including:

  • Rwerere Town Council, Uganda
  • Dikasinga Cell, Kokobo District, Uganda
  • GITHURAI community, Nairobi, Kenya

The aim of the drive was to provide basic necessities to vulnerable households who are disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as equip volunteers with skills needed to make a difference in their communities.

During the drive, Impact Space volunteers distributed bags of maize flour, rice, beans, salt, matchboxes, vegetable oil, sugar, and other necessities like soap to extremely poor households made up of multigenerational families with approximately five hundred individuals including the elderly, middle age, youth, and children

Volunteers also entertained members of the benefiting communities with dance and other performances that brought them much joy. Leaders present at the event, including some government officials, expressed much appreciation for the generous act of kindness.

The Impact Space mission was made possible by generous donations from board members and various individual donors in the United States.

About Impact Space – Impact Space Inc. is a US based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting the wellbeing of disadvantaged individuals and underserved communities in Africa and beyond.
