5 Ways to Beat Social Distancing Blues on Faithflows.org

As the weeks turn into months in a “Social Distancing” world, many Christians are finding themselves lonely from the disruption of their usual weekly gatherings. Phone conversations are getting harder and harder with no new activities to report.

The bible encourages the frequent meeting of saints. So what do we do if we can’t meet? Fortunately, the same bible verse that cautions as against neglecting meetings gives the answer. We have to encourage each other through this. Paul says in Hebrews

Do not neglect to meet together,… but encourage one another…(Hebrews 10:25)

At Faithflows.org, Christians come together digitally to connect, share, learn, collaborate, teach and more. Here are some of the activities on faithflows that can help you beat the blues.

1. Make Christian Friends

Create valuable friendships that could extend beyond the pandemic at faithflows.org.

  • First sign up at https://faithflows.org/register/
  • Introduce yourself in our new members forum
  • Read through activities or the groups to find friends with similar interests to connect with.
  • Be interactive, visit page, connect, follow their activities, send them private messages, react to their posts to keep the flow.

2. Join Groups/ Create a group-

There are various groups set up based on users’ interests that you can join in and share your views or knowledge in the groups. For example, if you are interested in food or anything concerning food, whether you are a food vendor, chef, caterer or you just love fine foods, you can join the Foodies group. If you don’t find any group that tackles your fancy, you have the opportunity to create your own group, have people join and manage interactions on there.

3. Pray and submit prayer requests –

Prayers! Prayers! Prayers is all we need in these uncertain times as it’s easier to get overwhelmed with the growing spate of the pandemic and sometimes find it hard to pray. Pray with other believers and request for prayers personally for loved ones and friends on Faithflows. What did the Bible say about intercessory prayers in Mathew 18:19-20? Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
Other prayerful Christians are on the wait to pray with you and offer words of encouragement to uplift your spirits no matter what you are facing.

4. Share – It’s fun time on Faithflows! –

Get in the groove with your favorite gospel tunes, uplifting Inspirational YouTube videos, interesting Bible and life quotes to entertain and share to encourage each other on the platform.  A little dance video never hurts anyone.
