Love In Action Changes Lives
Overview
Faithflows programs are designed to engage, educate, empower, and equip disadvantaged young people to elevate themselves and their communities out of poverty and is aligned to the UN Sustainable Developmental Goals for 2030.
Our daily motivation is to see every young person served benefits from our programs towards a sustainable and innovative future while improving their present circumstances and wellbeing.
The World bank reports that about 689 Million people of the world population live in abject poverty and could barely afford a meal for themselves or live in extreme poverty on $1.90 or less a day with 70 percent of these individuals being jobless, homeless, depressed and going through various forms of mental health cases.
Following the 2020 global pandemic, young people around the world are in the throes of a wellbeing crisis stemming from an exacerbated unemployment and underemployment crisis and the adverse effect of high social media use which can result in depression, anxiety, loss of self-worth, and perceived social isolation as reported by many notable studies in the last decade.
The Africa Continent is disproportionately impacted as it houses the poorest of the poor especially in countries like Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Sierra Leone among others. Some of these poor persons are left in refugee camps, orphanages, on the streets with little or No food, most venture into begging for sustenance. The diminishing economy in African countries due to outbreak of pandemics, tribal wars, terrorism, unemployment, increase in population, high cost of survival among other social problems have increased.
Every program at Faithflows is designed with a goal to ensure that the youth in Africa benefit towards a sustainable, entrepreneurial, and innovative future by connecting them with new ideas, skills, and people.
Faithflows Inc is a non-profit organization that engages, educates, empowers and mobilizes youths so that they can be able to actively participate in improving their well-being and their communities thereby eradicating poverty through sustainable, accessible and meaningful technology that affords opportunities for them.
We created a dedicated social network, which provides a safe space for these youths to learn, connect and grow in an environment devoid of sinister contents and information, but one that inspires a feeling of hope. Research findings highlight the need to scale up effective interventions that ensure appropriate and timely access to mental health and minimize the long-term impacts of untreated mental health disorders. It is known saying that a mentally sound youth is well able to receive learning, become productive and contribute awesomely to her/his community. The social network therefore provides a safe environment for youths to receive adequate counselling with certified counsellors to enable them deal with the challenges of life. In the last one year, Faithflows.org social network has seen over 15,000 persons from across the world, most especially Africans, even individuals from remote places join in and have become one strong community.
